Dragon Family

Born from the fires of our first shaft, Raijin, we have developed and designed a line of premium performance shafts made from high modulus exotic materials that redefine what it means to be a high-performance player on the greens.

VA Composites’ Dragon Family includes, Raijin (now retired), Raijin 2.0, Raijin Black, Drago, and Slay. Each shaft series has adaptive ranges of gram weights, flexes, stiffness, and balances so you have control from fit to finish on how to best optimize your performance.

  • With the success of the original Raijin, VA Composites launched Raijin 2.0 in 2022 on the 5th Year Anniversary of its predecessor’s release. Boasting high launch and low spin strengths fit for all swing speeds- the classic white, red ,and gold, filament-wound shaft instantly made a name for itself. With a tighter handle and midsection and soft tip the Raijin 2.0 series of drivers, fairways, hybrids, and irons has become a favorite for fitters and players alike.

  • A low launch option of high performance, Drago makes for a great baseline shaft for good lower flight with control that allows for mid-high launch with low spin. The stiffer bend profile of our scaled, matte violet Drago shaft finds its shine in its tighter tip and butt with an active midsection.

  • Boasting a universally beneficial design for any and all players, Slay is your high launch option to make your ball take flight. The softer tip and midsection allows for smooth and lively tip feel through swings. The Slay series offers attainable flight with its wood and hybrid options.

  • A departure from its kin, Raijin and Raijin 2.0, Raijin Black is established as the stiffest profile in our repertoire that is ready for fast tempo and heavy load players. The 4-Axis material design offers stability to carry through low-mid launch, low spin swings. This premium wood shaft is best fit for aggressive, strong players.
